About me

My name is Søren Skøtt – born and raised in Denmark. I am a bit of a computer geek by heart, and ever since I got my first computer as a kid, I’ve been fascinated by the digital universe, spending countless hours in front of a screen exploring everything it had to offer. As I grew older, my passion for technology evolved and eventually led me to pursue a degree in web development.

In 2012, I obtained my professional degree as a web developer. While I found programming websites challenging and rewarding at times, I soon realized that web design was my true passion. I loved being able to create visually appealing designs that enhanced user experience, and this interest ultimately led me to pursue a career in graphics design.

In January 2022, I started studying as a graphics designer, focusing primarily on web design and user experience as my field of expertise. I have a solid grasp and understanding of industry-standard design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. While I’m still relatively new to the world of graphics design, I’m constantly pushing myself to learn more and improve my skills.

Aside from design, I also enjoy playing video games in my spare time. I’m a big fan of MMO and RPG titles, and I find that gaming is a great way to unwind and take my mind off work. When I’m not designing or gaming, I enjoy studying languages, and I’m currently working on improving my German language skills.

If you’re interested in seeing some of my work, I invite you to take a look at my portfolio. I’m always looking for ways to improve and grow as a designer, so any constructive feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me.

Am I religious?

I do not hold any specific beliefs, but I do consider myself to be agnostic.

Do I believe in extraterrestrial life?

To think that humans are the only living “advanced” life-form in existence is an extremely arrogant trail of thought. In our galaxy alone there are billions, upon billions of stars, many of them having celestial bodies orbiting them. If humanity happens to be a result of a “cosmic accident” that allowed us to develop in perfect conditions (a one in a million case) it can most definitely happen again. Short answer: we are definitely not alone.

Does pineapple belong on a pizza?

I consider pineapple on pizza to be a criminal offense. Sweet and savory don’t mix.
